Mayor’s Economic Development Vision
The coming years provide critical opportunities to move Lexington forward as a globally competitive and vibrant economic center. We are blessed to have a diverse economy and will work to maintain that diversity. To unite our community in developing its economy and to continue to move Lexington forward, we must be intentional in our efforts to offer the types of economic opportunities that can provide future generations challenging and rewarding jobs for years to come. This is best done by building on our strengths and strengthening our weaknesses. Jim Newberry’s vision for growing our economy is to focus efforts in our horses, health care and high-tech industries.
